CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Cosmetologists: Required 14 hours every two-year licensing period, 7 of which may be completed by self-study. *Effective Jan 1, 2020, and all renewals thereafter 1 hour of CE on the topic of sexual harassment prevention training.
Estheticians and Nail Technicians: Required 10 hours of continuing education every two-year licensing period, 5 of which may be completed by self-study. *Effective Jan 1, 2020, and all renewals thereafter 1 hour of CE on the topic of sexual harassment prevention training.
Paragon CET courses are considered self-study and do not offer live classroom continuing education.
New Domestic Violence Requirement *
Licensees are required to complete a one-time one-hour Board-approved course on Domestic Violence. The course must be presented in a classroom setting or in an online classroom presentation. The course must be presented or taught by an individual that holds a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness CE Sponsor License (licensure prefix #290). *ParagonCET does not offer the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault requirement.
