My certificate isn't showing or CE isn't on file with my board

What to do when your certificate isn't appearing or CE hasn't been reported to your state board

My certificate isn't showing or CE isn't on file with my board

After completing your final test and paying for your certificate, your certificate of completion is generated and available to download.

To access your certificate

Log in → CET in Progress (top nav) → completed course → Download Certificate

If your certificate isn't showing

  • Confirm you completed the "Pay for CE certificate" payment step — content completion alone does not generate your certificate

  • Log out and back in to refresh

  • Email [email protected] with your license number

Florida licensees

Paragon CET reports your CE electronically to FL DBPR every hour on the hour, all day, with a final submission at midnight.

Typically your CE appears on your DBPR record within 1 hour of certificate payment. In some cases it can take up to 24–48 hours — this usually happens when the license number on your account does not exactly match the license number on file at DBPR.

IMPORTANT — FLORIDA ONLY: You must have registered and enrolled as a Florida cosmetology professional with a valid FL license number. If you registered or added a license using a different professional license type or left your license number blank or incorrect, your completion will NOT be electronically reported to DBPR. We receive a failed-report notification when this happens.

If CE is not showing at DBPR after 48 hours: Email [email protected] with your FL license number and a copy of your certificate. We will investigate the report log and resolve the mismatch.

All other states (IA, IL, NC, NE)

These states are self-reporting. Paragon CET does NOT report directly to your state board. Instead:

  1. Your certificate of completion (with date and time) is your official proof.

  2. You keep your certificate and present it if your board audits you at renewal.

  3. Paragon CET retains all completion records for 7 years. If you ever lose your certificate, email [email protected] and we can reissue it.

You do NOT need to submit your certificate proactively — only if requested during a renewal audit.
