SB382 - Florida Cosmetology License CE Requirements Exemption.

Verify here if you received this special qualification that SB382 provided on June 26th of 2024.

New Effective July 1st, 2024:(SB382) was enacted eliminating current education requirements for Cosmetology professionals who have active licenses, have been licensed consecutively for 10+years, and without disciplinary actions against them.

Cosmetology license types which this covers are: Cosmetologists, Full Specialists, Facial Specialists, and Nail Technicians.

Verify using these steps:

  1. https://www.myfloridalicense.com/wl11.asp?mode=0&SID=

  2. Select to search by name, license number, and license type.

  3. When you licensee search finds you, Click on your name: to see licensee details page.

  4. You will see under the section Special Qualifications: Whether you are exempt or not.

Additionally if you feel you should have received the exemption and did not please contact the board immediately!
